On the 12th of Summer, in the year 1123, two twins named Yomi and Susano were born in the city of Aurelia, five minutes apart, with Yomi being the eldest.

Yomi Kami, a young girl with bright, curious eyes and a heart full of determination, was a natural bookworm. Even at the tender age of five, she found solace in the pages of books, constantly seeking knowledge and understanding. Her insatiable thirst for learning was unmatched, and she would spend hours poring over textbooks, immersing herself in stories and soaking up every bit of information she could find.

The Kami twins were blessed with loving parents, who were Johtonese immigrants seeking a better life for their children. Yomi and Susano's parents, proud and hardworking individuals, instilled in their daughters the values of resilience, diligence, and the importance of education. They nurtured their girls' inquisitive minds, fostering an environment that encouraged learning and growth.

However, tragedy struck one fateful day when the city of Aurelia became the victim of a catastrophic meteor shower during Arceus Day. The meteors rained down from the heavens, wreaking havoc upon the unsuspecting inhabitants of the city. Yomi and Susano's parents, unfortunately, fell victim to this tragic event, leaving the twins as orphans in the blink of an eye.

At the same time, the two met a girl who was slightly older than them at the orphanage who went by the name Terri Sunada. The three shared a loss of family, and soon quickly bonded together, likening themselves to siblings, becoming equally inseparable as the twins had with each other. While Terri would mostly march to the beat of their own drum, Yomi and Susano both knew they could rely on them if they ever needed to.
